Maths on the Move is developed by teachers for teachers. It is a unique and innovative programme that uses the concept of physically active learning to enhance children’s confidence and attainment in maths.

The programme covers all learning outcomes of the maths curriculum for KS1 and KS2, is suitable for all abilities and can be tailored to suit the individual requirements of your school.

A six-week study conducted by academics from Leeds Beckett University has concluded that the MOTM programme both improves maths attainment and increases physical activity levels. Research has suggested that active learning approaches, such as those used in Maths on the Move, lead to increased student motivation in mathematics.

Our 12-week curriculum is designed around custom booklets, hand-picked to align with National Curriculum standards and your pupils' specific learning requirements. Each session focuses on a unique topic through a simple, effective four-step process:

Assess: Every lesson begins with a quick 5-question baseline check.

Active Learning: Guided by our educators, pupils bridge the gap between theory and practice by applying new concepts to physical activities and real-world scenarios.

Evaluate: Pupils finish the session with a final 5-question review to consolidate learning.

Track: We provide termly impact reports so you can clearly measure student growth and success.
