We work around your school — not the other way round
Every school is different. Some need simple, reliable PPA cover and nothing more. Others want a deeper partnership — working with their PE lead on curriculum development, introducing new activities, and building something that genuinely raises PE across the school. There's no pressure to do more than you need, and we'll always start from where you are.
what can bright sparks help with?
who you’re working with
YOU’RE NOT GETTING A COACH. YOU’RE GETTING A QUALIFIED TEACHER.
A QTS-qualified teacher understands how children learn, how to adapt sessions for different abilities, how to manage a class, and how to deliver PE that actually meets curriculum expectations — not just fill the time.
Katie — founder of Bright Sparks
Katie has spent years working with primary school children before founding Bright Spark Sports. Watching children wait in line, be ‘out’ for being less able - worsening the ability gap as the less able watch on. She's seen first-hand what good and bad PE provision looks like, and built this business to do it differently — with inclusivity, variety, and enjoyment at the centre of everything.
Activities that reach the children traditional PE misses
BEYOND TRADITIONAL SPORT
Introducing activities children have never tried before changes the dynamic completely. Suddenly the child who dreads football is the one leading the game. These sessions don't just tick a box — they build genuine enthusiasm for being active.
Flag Football
Fast-paced, tactical, and completely inclusive — no tackling means every child can compete on equal terms regardless of size or strength.

Glow dodgeball
One of the most talked about sessions we run. Raises the profile of PE across the whole school — children, staff and parents notice the difference.
Supports KI3 · KI4
New age kurling
Accessible to all abilities including children with SEND. Builds concentration, strategy, and team communication in a way traditional sports often can't.
Supports KI2 · KI4
Archery
Builds focus, self-discipline, and confidence. A sport where the less naturally athletic child often excels — and knows it.

These activities don't have to stop at the end of the school day.
Many of the activities we introduce in curriculum time can continue as after-school clubs — giving more children the chance to develop their skills, participate regularly, and contribute to your school's evidence of wider sporting participation. Ask us about setting up clubs alongside your PE programme.
